Description
The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk, Detachment, Philadelphia intends to acquire on a sole source basis twenty-eight (28) each Model 550 Electronic Flight Instruments (EFIs) for the C-130T aircraft in support of the Marine Aircraft Group 49 Detachment B, Stewart Air National Guard Base, Newburgh, NY. A Firm Fixed Price Supply contract is contemplated. The Government intends to solicit on other than a full and open competitive basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, Once One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies will Satisfy Agency Requirements. L3 Communications Displays Systems, 1355 Bluegrass Lakes Parkway, Alpharetta, GA is the only company that manufactures the required Model 500 EFIs that meet the form, fit and function requirements for the C130T aircraft. There are no other types of supplies that will satisfy agency requirements. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or to submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code and size standard is 334511 and 750 employees, respectively. The Government will not pay for information received. Numbered note 26 applies.
