Description
The main program will provide and expand participants? opportunities to integrate knowledge needed at the senior executive levels within DoD. Taskings include development of program curriculum based on program objectives; make arrangements for meeting locations suitable for a variety of learning opportunities for the participants; arrange participation of presenters and ensure availability; inform presenters of expectations; Pentagon and DoD Staff Participation - contact and arrange for DoD and other government personnel at the highest levels for participation in the program; send letters of invitation, double check attendance at functions, make room arrangements; work with HRD staff and other points of contact, for example military protocol officers, on arrangements; HRD Staff Participation - prepare appropriate comments and talking points for HRD staff working on APEX to brief DoD leadership and management on the nature and status of the program; Military Base Participation - contact specified commands to make arrangements for visits; coordinate and deliver any needed assistance for lodging and transportation; send any necessary paperwork to bases, including security clearance information; NonDoD Speaker, Expert, and Consultant Participation - make arrangements for quality presenters; specify and approve the content; provide briefing slides if appropriate; arrange for payment of presenters' stipend or honorarium with approval of HRD staff; Contractor Participation - accompany APEX participants and HRD staff to all travel locations, briefings, and events to ensure that all administrative and curriculum functions run smoothly, efficiently, and support a high quality program for the SES community; contractor roles and all travel arrangements should maximize program implementation.
