Description: H.D. Mechanical Fuel Reduction Project. Mow and chip approximately 923 acres of pinon/juniper and brush utilizing a "hydro-mower" type machine. The treatment will consist of mowing 1" to 8" DBH vegetation in small clearcuts, mosaics and thinning to reduce the continuity of vegetation. Project area is near Bayfield, CO in Southwest Colorado. See numbered note 1.
