- Description
- The Electronic Systems Center (ESC) Tactical Data Links System Program Office (TDL SPO) is seeking sources for a seminar providing a programming language-independent overview of object-oriented requirements analysis and design using the UML. Special attention should be paid to relating OOA and OOD concepts to real-world software. No prior knowledge of object-oriented development should be required of the students. Topics to be included: Analysis vs. design, what's the difference, Requirements and non-requirements, Essential requirements and design requirements, Defining analysis and design, What does it mean to be object oriented, Brief history of object-orientation, Comparing and contrasting structured and object-oriented, Software object-from concept to code, Defining object-orientation, Object-orientation meets analysis, Use-case diagrams, Class diagrams, Collaboration diagrams, Sequence diagrams, State diagrams, actions, and activities, Object-orientation meets design, The transition to design, Designing interfaces, High-level software design, Low-level software design, Software optimization, What's next with the UML, This course should be tailored to address real time distributed Command and Control systems. Expected benefits of the course: attendees should gain an in-depth understanding of how to improve SIAP's (Single Integrated Air Picture) object-oriented requirements analysis and design and have an introduction to the UML. Attendees should have the opportunity to practice techniques they can apply to SIAP efforts. This will not be an award based on price, it will need to be based on the company and instructors relevance to and experience with SIAP. Responses are due within ten (10) days of the publication of this notice. All interested sources should contact Mr. Jeffrey Wong by e-mail at Jeffrey.Wong@hanscom.af.mil . Be advised that all interested parties must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database in order to receive an award. If you are not registered you may request an application at (888) 227-2423 or through the CCR website http://www.ccr.gov.
