- This is NOT a request for proposal. Services are nonpersonal. Los Angeles Air Force Base (LA AFB) is seeking sources capable of providing design, engineering, equipment, installation, testing, training and systems documentation services to upgrade the existing public address (PA) system for LA AFB in El Segundo California and Fort MacArthur and its housing annexes in San Pedro California. This requirement will require external coverage of all populated areas and various internal buildings. The system must have centralized control capability from control rooms in both LAAFB Area A and Fort MacArthur locations. Some design effort may be required to integrate existing public address components when economical and feasible. The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334310. The small business size standard for this requirement is 750 employees. This is 100% set aside for small business and has and anticipated dollar magnitude of less than $150k. The Government anticipates awarding a firm fixed-price purchase order to a qualified vendor. A site visit has been scheduled for Wednesday, 26 March 2003 at 9:00 A.M., PST. This site visit will be used to show the coverage areas, areas where new equipment is required, existing equipment and to explain our desired outcome. Due to heightened security measures, we ask companies to limit the number of representatives to no more than two. Pertinent information is required for personnel entry and vehicle authorization on a military installation.
