Description
NA Date and time for receipt of quotes has been changed to read: 24 March 2003, 4:30 PM CST. TO ALL PROSPECTIVE OFFERORS - The following questions were received in response to Request for Quote DABK25-03-Q-0052. Answers to these questions are provided for in formation purposes only. 1. Does the Government require the vendor to install the software on 4000 clients? ANSWER: No. The Government wants the software to be installable by automated procedure such as login script. 2. What is the timeframe for deploym ent of the software? ANSWER: Amendment 0002 will establish the performance period to be 07 Apr 03 through 18 Apr 03. 3. What type(s) of backend databases should the software integrate with (Oracle/SQL/MS Access)? ANSWER: It can be either/or, there is no preference. 4. Does a company have to register with Fort Polk?s Directorate of Contracting to bid on this solicitation? ANSWER: No. In order for the Directorate of Contracting (DOC) to award a contract to a successful offeror, you must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. You may register on-line at the following web address http://www.ccr.gov/ . DOC will validate that you are registered before award, and input the successful offeror into our local database. 5. Does the Government require operations and maintenance support for the software once deployed? If so, how long should the support effort last? ANSWER: The Government requires a minimum of 1-year operations and maintenance support. 6. How many personne l, if any, require training on the software? ANSWER: The Government requires the successful offeror to train five (5) Information Technology (IT) Technicians. 7. Are all clients networked? ANSWER: Yes, all clients are networked. 8. Are all clients loc ated at Fort Polk, if not, what is the breakdown of the clients (type of PCs, OSs, specifications) and where are they located? ANSWER: All clients are located at Fort Polk, in a Windows environment. 9. What is the new date for bids to be submitted and work to begin? ANSWER: Amendment 0002 will establish the new date and time for receipt of quotes to be 24 Mar 2003, 4:30 PM CST. New performance period is addressed in question #2. 10. Does the Government want the scalability of having multiple collection points? ANSWER: Scalability of multiple collection points is not a mandatory requirement. 11. How will the 4,000 nodes (PCs) be networked or deployed? Will there be stand-alone computers? How are they networked? ANSWER: GIGA-BIT Ethernet networks the computers.
