Description

NA The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, on behalf of the Product Manager for Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE), proposes to acquire by other than full and open competition from Miltope Corporation, 3800 Richardson Road South, Hope Hull, Alabama services for the upgrade of a basic quantity of 1000 fielded Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) kits with an additional option quantity of 300 ICE kits. The ICE kits were issued under the Soldier's Portable On-System Repair Tool (SPORT) contract an d require upgrade to the latest configuration as displayed in the Maintenance Support Device (MSD) ICE Technical Data Package (TDP). The contractor shall replace the early version ICE Kit Dearborn Protocol Adapter (DPA) modules, with the latest DPA config uration along with a set of three DPA cables and a DPA case decal as required. The contractor shall then retrofit the removed DPA module to the latest configuration. Miltope Corporation has unique capabilities gained as the prime integrator of the access ory hardware in the ICE kit that was fielded with the SPORT. Miltope has the required DPA testing capability and have the database which identifies the SPORTs with the ICE kits by serial number and fielded location. See numbered note 22.
