Description

NA The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command on behalf of the Product Manager for Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE), proposes to acquire by other than full and open competition from Miltope Corporation, 3800 Richardson Road South, Hope Hull, Alabama, services and supplies to develop, fabricate and deliver an initial quantity of 5,040 Soldier's Portable On-board Repair Tool (SPORT) strain relief retrofit kits with an option quantity of 2000 retrofit kits to provide strain relief protection to a ll the fielded SPORT Personal Computer Memory Card International Association (PCMCIA) card cables already in use with the SPORT units. The PCMCIA retrofit kits will minimize the failures in the field as well as SPORT equipment turned in for warranty servic es. Miltope Corporation has capabilities gained as the prime contractor for the SPORT contract. Miltope has the corporate knowledge, expertise and facilities to complete this effort without removal of the SPORT units from the field and out of use to the so ldiers. See Numbered Note 22.
