Description

Replacement Runners for Francis-Type Hydraulic Turbines, Glen Canyon Powerplant, Colorado River Storage Project, Arizona. This procurement is being procured in accordance with Part 15 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation under full and open competition. The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a Request for Proposals for furnishing and installing eight replacement runners and cones, wicket gates, stationary wear rings, and furnishing spare stationary wear rings for the existing turbines. A homologous model test of the replacement runner is required. Disassembly and reassembly of the generators will be accomplished by the Government. Disassembly and reassembly of the turbines shall be accomplished by the Contractor. The duration of the project is approximately 10 years from date of award. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 333011. Bid, performance and payment bonds will be required. The price range is more than $10,000,000. There will be a site tour scheduled for all interested parties (the date and time will be provided with the solicitation.) Place of Performance: The work will be at the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation=s Glen Canyon Powerplant located in Coconino County, about 2 miles from Page, Arizona.
