- G--Mortuary Services The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center is conducting a competitive acquisition for mortuary services/supplies. A firm fixed price Requirements type contract is anticipated. Mortuary services/supplies shall include professional services for the care and handling of deceased personnel. The services/supplies include providing caskets, shipping containers, cremation services, transportation, removal, pickup, hardwood caskets, vase type spun bronze urns with carrying or shipping containers, cremation caskets, death certificates, and burial/transit permits. Estimated quantities are provided in the RFP. The services shall be performed in accordance with the RFP and its attached instructions. Mortuary employees must meet current state licensing board certification/license requirements. The base year period of performance start date is expected to be 1 O ct 2003 ending 30 Sept 2004. Four, one-year options are also included. Place of performance is San Diego, CA. All services shall be delivered FOB destination. The RFP will be posted electronically to http://www.neco.navy.mil. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be provided. This acquisition is unrestricted. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered. Commercial procedures as described in FAR Part 12 will not be used for this procurement. Questions regarding the RFP must be emailed to the contract specialist at Jeanne_M_Johnsonclark@sd.fisc.navy.mil. The RFP is expected to be issued about 4 April 2003 closing about 5 May 2003.
