Description

This is a notice that the 99th Contracting Squadron intends to negotiate a Sole Source extension of contract F26600-98-C-X001 with Arcata Associates, Inc, Las Vegas NV for a period of one to five months to provide debriefing and automation data support service for the 414th CTS (Red Flag) at Nellis AFB NV under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a). Sole-Source negotiation with Arcata Associates, Inc. is in the best interest of the government. Until a new contract can be put in place, follow-on services are deemed to be available only from the original source in the follow-on contract for the continuation of highly specialized services. It is expected that award to any other source would result in-substantial duplication of costs not expected to be recovered through competition and unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency?s requirements. To use any source other than Arcata Associates, Inc. would involve the significant, additional cost and time required to obtain appropriate security clearances, and gain the appropriate working knowledge to successfully perform the effort. This notice is not a request for proposal nor a solicitation for offers. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement based on response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
