Description

NA The US Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, intends to award a contract to perform Channel Maintenance Dredging by Clamshell 2003 at various sites on the Oregon Coast. This contract requires Clamshell dredging and open ocean disposal of dredged mate rials from Port Orford, Charleston Channel, Winchester Bay East and West Boat Basin Access Channels, with optional dredging at Rogue River Boat Basin Access Channel and Chetco River Commercial Boat Basin Access Channel for Curry, Coos, and Douglas Countie s, Oregon. The contractor will be required to commence work within 10 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed, and complete all work within 55 calendar days of commencement (time stated for completion includes final cleanup of project area). This procurement is open to both small and large businesses. All interested responsible firms are invited to request a copy of the subject Invitation for Bids (IFB), in CD Rom format, at no charge, by registering on our website at https://www.nwp.army.mil . The IFB is anticipated to be issued on or about April 6, 2003 with a tentative bid opening date of May 6, 2003. In addition, in order to do business with the Department of Defense, contractors must enroll on the Central Contracting Register (CCR). Cont ractors may access the CCR website at www.ccr.gov.
