- NA The Fiscal Year 2003 (FY03) Defense Appropriations Act provides $2 million to the Department of Defense Tuberous Sclerosis Complex Research Program (TSRP) to support innovative research directed toward eliminating ovarian cancer. The U.S. Army Medical Res earch and Materiel Command through the Office of the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) administer this program. The TSRP is releasing a Program Announcement for one funding mechanisms in this notification. The name and intent of th is funding mechanism, its Program Announcement release date, and submission deadline are as follows: The Idea Development Award are intended to encourage innovative research directed toward a better understanding of the role and function of proteins produc ed by the TSC1 and TSC@ tumor suppressor genes. The Idea Development Award Program Announcement was released on March 12, 2003 with a submission deadline of August 20, 2003, 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The FY03 TSRP electronic Program Announcements has been c ompletely revised. Detailed descriptions of this funding mechanism, evaluation criteria, and submission requirements can be found in the FY03 TSRP Program Announcement. The Program Announcement can be downloaded from the CDRMP web site (http://cdmrp.army. mil). All applicants will be required to submit one electronic versions of their proposal as a PDF (portable document format) file. All documents may be downloaded from the CDMRP website. The website also contains further information about the, TSRP, TSRP awardees, previous TSRP Program Announcements, and other CDMRP sponsored programs and events.
