Description
The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), Office of the Chief Financial Officer is looking potential sources to independently verify and validate a previous sutdy prepared to assess the space standards using in planning and building BIA schools. The analysis should include factors such as space type (i.e., cafeterias, science facilities, classrooms, gymnasiums), sutdent enrollment, square footage per student, cost per student. The final product will be used to support and vaidate BIA educations construction standards. Contractor will be required to analyze non-BIA school construction standards. The contractor will analyze and provide a comparison of BIA school construction criteria to public, private and boarding schools criteria using similar socio-economic conditions. NOTE: There are 64 elementary and secondary schools operated by the BIA. There are 121 elementary and secondary schools funded by the BIA, which tribes operate under contract or gransts. There are 13 peripheral dormitories funded by the BIA and operated under contractors or grants. Perpheral dormitories are established on reservation for Indian students who attend nearby public schools. The BIA funds 7 off-reservation boarding schools. The BIA operates 4 of the boarding schools and the remaining 3 are tribally operated by contracts. In addition to schools and dormitories operated and funded by the BIA, there are approximately 2, 115 educational facilities maintained by the BIA which include multiple buildings on school property and exclude living quarters provided to teachers and/or administrators. These buildings include maintenance and transportation facilities. Often therese buildings are included in the planning and design of education construction facilities. Contractor's who maybe interested in this type of project should submit a fax request to be considered; to include company name, POC, phone number, fax number, DUNS number, TAX ID number and any other information such as business size, i.e., small business, disadvantaged business, Indian owned etc. and contractor capability statement that demonstrates contractor ability to complete this type of project.
