Description
NAVSEA Philadelphia is seeking potential sources for ruggedized console workstation. The consoles will be qualified for Shock: Mil-S-901D Grade A, Class II, EMI: MIL-STD-461D, Vibration: MIL-STD-167-1, Operating Temperature: +33 Degrees F to 122 Degrees F, Non-Operating Temperature:-4 Degrees F to +158 Degrees F and humidity: 95% R.H. condensing. The console monitors are to 20" min. The console workstations will be required to run a current Windows Operating System, have redundant Ethernet connections, two serial ports with options for USB and parallel ports and removeable storage media. Workstations may be contained within console enclosure or in separate standard size rack. Limitation on magnetic materials will be required. Features such as compact size and light weight are desirable. Configurations for the console are as follows: Console 1: Bridge Control Station. Config ured for seated or standing operator, deck mount. Console will have monitor, throttle lever, steering interface, trackball or cursor position and selection interface and keyboard. All illumination and monitor are to be capable of linear dim to black. Steering interface is to be 90 left to 90 right. Console 2: Engineering Control Station, Configured for seated operator, deck mount. Console will have monitor, throttle lever, steering interface, trackball or cursor position and selection interface and keyboard. Console 2 is an auxiliary steering control station. It is desired that steering interface is small and approximately 5 inches in diameter. Interface may be horizontal. Console 3: Engineering Station. Configured for seated operator, deck mount. Console will have monitor, keyboard and trackball or cursor position and selection interface. Console 4: Auxiliary conso le. Configured for standing operator, bulkhead mount. Console will have monitor, keyboard and trackball or cursor position and selection interface. The keyboard may be compact or hinged to conserve space when not in use. Auxiliary workstations may be located in machinery spaces where keyboard and trackball or cursor position and selection interface human interfaces may be more subject to oil and moisture contamination.
