- Description
- The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound requires various TUBING for Puget Sound Naval Shipyard on a FOB: Destination basis. This requirement is 100% total set-aside for small business and in accordance with FAR 19.102, (f), (4) which allows for large business manufacturers. Requirement are as follows: (1) Tube, copper-nickel alloy, seamless and welded (copper alloy numbers 715 and 706), MIL-T-16420K, 14 April 1978, including amendment 1, 16 September 1988; Composition: 70-30 copper-nickel; Temper: Annealed, Type: I or II; Grade: I; Dimensions: 18 inches O.D. X 0.344 inches thick, 59 lb/ft, non-standard size; 70 linear feet total required, prefer approximately 10 feet lengths, 20 feet maximum length. Vibratory marking IAW para. 3.10.1. The Contractor shall provide and maintain an inspection system acceptable to the Government for supplies and services covered by this specification. Level "C" packaging and packing is required. (2) Tube, copper-nickel alloy, seamless and welded (copper alloy numbers 715 and 706), MIL-T-16420K, 14 April 1978, including amendment 1, 16 September 1988; Composition: 70-30 copper-nickel; Temper: Annealed, Type: I or II; Grade: I; Dimensions: 18 inches O.D. X 0.562 inches thick, 89 lb/ft, non-standard size; 10 linear feet total required, prefer approximately 10 feet length; Vibratory marking IAW para. 3.10.1; The Contractor shall provide and maintain an inspection system acceptable to the Government for supplies and services covered by this specification. Level "C" packaging and packing is required. (3) Tube, copper-nickel alloy, seamless and welded (copper alloy numbers 715 and 706), MIL-T-16420K, 14 April 1978, including amendment 1, 16 September 1988; Composition: 70-30 copper-nickel; Temper: Annealed, Type: I or II; Grade: I; Dimensions: 8.625 inches O.D. X 0.340 inches thick, Standard size required; 80 linear feet total required, prefer approximately 10 feet lengths, 20 feet maximum length. Vibratory marking IAW para. 3.10.1. The Contractor shall provide and maintain an inspection system acceptable to the Government for supplies and services covered by this specification. Level "C" packaging and packing is required. (4) Tube, copper-nickel alloy, seamless and welded (copper alloy numbers 715 and 706), MIL-T-16420K, 14 April 1978, including amendment 1, 16 September 1988; Composition: 70-30 copper-nickel; Temper: Annealed, Type: I; Class: 700; Grade: 1; Dimensions: 10.750 inches O.D. X 0.380 inches thick, Standard size required; 30 linear feet total required, prefer approximately 10 feet lengths, 20 feet maximum length. Vibratory marking IAW para. 3.10.1. The Contractor shall provide and maintain an inspection system acceptable to the Government for supplies and services covered by this specification. Level "C" packaging and packing is required. (5) Tube, copper-nickel alloy, seamless and welded (copper alloy numbers 715 and 706), MIL-T-16420K, 14 April 1978, including amendment 1, 16 September 1988; Composition: 70-30 CUNI, Alloy 715; Temper: Annealed, Type: I; Class: 200; Grade: 1; Hydrostatic testing is required for tube subject to ultrasonic inspection; Ultrasonic test is required for class 200 tube; Dimensions: 0.250 inches O.D. X 0.380 inches thick; 25 feet (max mill length); Tube marking is required per 3.10; Quality assurance requirement: IAW MIL-I-45208. When issued, the RFQ will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link "www.neco.navy.mil". It is anticipated that the RFQ will be issued on or about March 21, 2003, with offers due on or about April 4, 2003. All offerors wishing to submit an offer, are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website (WinZIP or other unzipping software is required) and to frequently monitor that site for any amendments to the RFQ. Interested parties may utilize www.fedbizopps.gov and request an E-mail notification by clicking on the "FedBizOpps Vendor" tab then "Acquisition Notification service" then "register to receive notification by solicitation number." By registering with this service, you should receive notification as to when the solicitation has been uploaded to the NECO website. PLEASE NOTE: FISC PUGET SOUND DOES NOT GUARANTEE THIS NOTICE. OFFERORS ARE STILL RESPONSIBLE FOR DOWNLOADING THEIR OWN COPY OF THE SOLICITATION ON THE NECO WEBSITE. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. An email request to "janet_c_brunson@puget.fisc.navy.mil" will be accepted only in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. No bidders list will be maintained by this office. No paper copies of the RFQ and/or amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to electronically posted solicitations or quotes and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals or quotes may render your proposal or quote nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
