- NOTICE: BEFORE REPLYING TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT, POTENTIAL OFFERORS MUST EITHER CURRENTLY POSSESS SOFTWARE TO PRODUCE BAR CODES IN ACCORDANCE WITH MILITARY SPECIFICATIONS (MIL-STD-2414), A COMMERCIAL OFF-THE-SHELF COMPUTER APPLICATION FOR ITS DATABASE SYSTEM, SHEET-FED AND WEB PRESSES, PERFECT BINDING AND SADDLE STITCHING EQUIPMENT, SOFTWARE FOR SHIPMENT MODING/RATE SHOPPING SYSTEM, AND RELATED HARDWARE, COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT, INTERNET ACCESSES, FILE TRANSFER PROTOCOL (FTP) SITE AND SUPPLIES, OR BE ABLE TO OBTAIN AND UTILIZE SUCH EQUIPMENT/SOFTWARE NO LATER THAN THE DATE OF CONTRACT AWARD (THE TARGET DATE OF AWARD IS 30 SEPTEMBER 2003), OR THEY WILL NOT BE QUALIFIED FOR AWARD. ALL OFFERORS MEETING THE ABOVE CRITERIA MUST RESPOND IN WRITING TO THIS SYNOPSIS VIA EMAIL TO manierd@nima.mil. EMAIL RESPONSES MUST INCLUDE THE COMPANY NAME, CONTACT PERSON, PHONE NUMBER INCLUDING AREA CODE, EMAIL ADDRESS, AND FAX NUMBER INCLUDING AREA CODE. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS ACCEPTED. The National Imagery & Mapping Agency (NIMA) proposes to award a Firm Fixed Price contract with Economic Price Adjustment and Cost provisions that provide for negative maintenance, printing, finishing, and distribution within a twenty-eight (28) day cycle of the Flight Information Publication (FLIP) products. The period of performance will be for a one-year base period and four (4) option years. The applicable NAICS code is 3231 and the size standard is 500. Firms must demonstrate at least 2 years experience performing the same or similar services in the form of an outline of projects for specific relevant work which includes contract numbers, description of work, points of contact/phone numbers, and any other pertinent information which would enable the Government to assess each firm's capabilities. Since subcontracting opportunities exist, it is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with this procurement make direct contact with prospective prime contractors early in the procurement stages. Replies to this survey must be received no later than close of business on 11 April 2003. This synopsis is for planning purposes only and does not commit the Government to pay for the information requested, issue a solicitation, or award a contract. At the Governments discretion, the solicitation documents, performance work statements, and forms may be sent either email, compact disc (read only), or in paper copies, or in any combination of the above. No technical or solicitation documents exist now.
