- Description
- The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) proposes to extend Contract No. PBGC01-CT-98-0567 with Getronics Government Solutions, LLC, on a sole source basis. The extension is for a period of five months which will extend services through February 29, 2004. The estimated level of effort during this period is 30,000 hours. Under the contract, Getronics Government Solutions LLC conducts the day to day operations of the Premium Accounting System (PAS) which includes functions such as operating a lockbox bank, imaging documents, and posting premiums. The extension will: allow additional time to recompete the existing contract; allow for a continuity of operations and an orderly transition as the peak season for business operations under the contract is in the months of October and November; ensure a more orderly change in lockbox post office box numbers; and allow the PBGC to take full advantage of the results of a Business Process Reengineering initiative currently underway. An RFP will not be issued. See Note 22
