Description

This is a synopsis of a requirement for ship repair. This is request for quotation (RFQ) number DTCG80-03-Q-3DN344. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336612 and the size standard is 500 employees. The requirement is for the following: Contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, parts, services, and competence to perform the following for USCGB CG55107: 1. Welding repairs, 2. Remove and Reinstall rubrail, 3. Remove and reinstall propellers, 4. Remove, inspect, and reinstall propeller shaft, 5. Renew strut bearings, 6. Renew shaft stern tube bearings, 7. Preserve underwater body, 8. Preserve freeboard, 9. Routine dry docking. Performance period is May 5 to June 2, 2003. Place of performance is to be no more than 100 nautical miles from Woods Hole, MA 02543. RFQ package and Specifications to be available electronically on April 4, 2003. The government will award a purchase order resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offer: Price and Technically acceptable. The proposed solicitation listed here is a total small business set-aside (FAR 19.502-2). This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts.
