Description

The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC), Financial Operations Department's Controller Operations Division (FOD/COD) has a requirement for professional accounting services relating to PBGC's trust operations. The corporation maintains accounting records for insufficient terminated pension plans before becoming responsible for managing its investments. The plan's financial activities are managed by a custodian bank that reports on them to PBGC, where they are recorded in the Trust Accounting System. The required services include establishing account balances and cost basis for assets, recording financial transactions, reconciling and finalizing plan assets. A single award of a labor-hour contract is anticipated. The maximum duration of the contract is one base year plus three option years. All requests shall reference Solicitation No. PBGC01-RP-03-0009. Telephone requests for this solicitation will NOT be honored. All responsible parties submitting a proposal will be considered by the agency. The solicitation document, including amendments, will be distributed through the FedBizOpps.gov web site. The site contains downloading instructions. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to assure that they have the most up to date information about this acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation and associated amendments will not be available. The estimated release date of the solicitation is April 7, 2003.
