Description

NA The Headquarters, Military Traffic Management Command, (MTMC) intends to solicit, negotiate and award under full and open competition a Firm-Fixed Price Requirements type contract for transportation services. Sources are sought for the complete logistics of transportation services of privately owned vehicles (POVs) belonging to U.S. service members and civilian employees worldwide. The contractor is responsible for the receipt, processing, transportation, storage, and delivery of the vehicle to the memb er at CONUS and OCONUS locations worldwide. This effort does not include ocean transportation; the contractor acts as the Government’s agent in booking the ocean passage. The period of performance will include a 2 year base period and three one-year opti on years. A draft solicitation is scheduled to be made available to interested parties on or about 12 Sep 2002. A pre solicitation conference will be held approximately one week later in Alexandria, VA. Interested parties are encouraged to attend the co nference.
