Description
This project consists of the reconstruction of the Three Forks Trailhead entrance road and an 8,000 sq. feet parking area. Work will include construction staking, clearing and grubbing; individual removal of trees; excavation and embankment; furnishing and installing a new arch culvert; and furnished, hauling and placing crushed aggregate base. Construction staking will include all staking necessary to complete the job including the placement of slop stakes (culvert will be staked prior to ordering lengths) sub grade and surface will be staked. Clearing and grubbing will include scattering and the removal of all vegetation within the new road alignment and parking area. Removal trees shall be placed at a location approved the forest service personal with the project area. Excavation and embankment will include the displacement of 6612 cubic yards of unclassified material. Of this amount approximately 534 cubic yards shall be taken form the existing parking area, 95 cubic yards the new parking area and approximately 32 cubic yards form the new road alignment. It is anticipated that approximately 310 cubic yards of additional fill material will be needed. This embankment material will be government furnished. The Contractor shall haul (from Springville Crossing?approx 5 miles North) and place embankment. The road standard for Three Forks Trailhead Road shall be a double lane, a 23-foot wide subgrade, and 8? of crushed aggregate base surfacing. The parking area shall have 8? of crushed aggregate base surface. The new culvert shall be furnished and installed by the contractor and include approximately 75 linear feet of 16?5? x 9?11? structural plate pipe?arch culvert and all required hardware. All of the construction staking shall be completed by the contractor and approved by the Forest Service prior to construction or fabrication of culvert. The Forest Service will acquire stream work permits. The Fifth Water Trailhead consists of recondition 17000 linear feet of FS Road 70600. The road standard shall be a signal lane, 14-foot wide subgrade, in addition, a surface of 4 inches of pit run materials from a commercial source shall be furnished and placed. All of the work shall be done within the existing road prism. The Forest Service plans on doing a supplemental aggreement with Cop. Construction located in No. Salt Lake , UT.*****
