Description

NA DESC: 1005-01-454-8486, Part Number: 12012077, the item is a Backplate Assembly made from a carbon steel bar, cold finished grades, 1137 or 1141 with a bushing made from zytel plastic 105 BK010A inserted. The part is about one inch wide X 1.12 inch thick and 1.75 inches long and used on the .50 Cal machine gun. Finish required is 5.3.1.2 of MIL-STD-171, (CARC) primer. FOB is Destination. The proposed contract will include a 100% option. This requirement is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. This solicitat ion requires a First Article Test Report (FATR) and incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that cannot be provided via the Internet. Vendors who need this TDP in order to prepare a bid are instructed to requrest a TDP by submission of an email reques t to: tacom-ri-tdp@ria.army.mil. Any said requests should contain the following information; cage code, company name, point of contact, street address, city, state, zip code and telephone number. A TDP will be provided by normal mail after the solicitati on has been released to the internet. Estimated issue date is 11 April 2003. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1(c) therefore hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electron ic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: http://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be is sued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in its rejection.
