Description

The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk, Detachment Washington, intends to negotiate a firm fixed price, sole source procurement with EOS Technologies, Inc., 925 W. Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85705. This requirement is in support of the U.S. Naval Observatory, Washington D.C. for the design study of a fully robotic telescope. The design study shall incorporate a theoretical understanding of telescope design as well as expertise in optical design, tolerances, and thermal stability. This telescope has many unique characteristics and can only be manufactured in close collaboration with the U.S. Naval Observatory. Negotiations for this procurement will be conducted using other than full and open competition procedures pursuant to authority of FAR 6.302-1. This is not a request for competitive quotes, however, any interest or concerns must be directed to FISC Norfolk Detachment Washington, Re: 03-Q-1221, Code 02W2.1B no later than 28 March 2003, Attn: Jeannie Coratolo.
