- Description
- Purpose. To perform market research IAW FAR Part 10. OMB Circular A-76 Cost Comparison Study. Capable 8(a) sources are being sought. The purpose of this study is to determine the most efficient and cost effective method of providing services for 2ND FSSG, Camp Lejeune, NC. The study will determine whether these services will be performed under a contract with commercial sources or by the federal work force. A Government Request for Proposal (RFP) to provide these services is being developed and will be issued within three months. This acquisition is being restricted to 8(a) concerns. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 561210. A commercial contract may or may not result depending on the outcome of a best value comparison. Scope of Requirement. Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, NC intends to obtain (if considered more econ omical) the services required to support 2nd Force Service Support Group (2D FSSG) which provides sustained Combat Service Support to Second Marine Division and its associated Marine Expeditionary Units (MEU) and other supporting agencies to include Management, Maintenance of equipment, Crate Manufacturing, Packing Hazmat for shipment, Training Marines and Safety and Hazmat program administration. Period of Performance. Base year and four (4) one year option periods. Anticipated contract type is a firm-fixed price contract. INSTRUCTIONS TO INTERESTED PARTIES.
