- NAICS Code: 334516 The United States Environmental Protection Agency, National Risk Management Research Laboratory, Sustainable Environments Branch, requires a Fraunhofer Diffraction Particle Size Analysis System, which will provide reproducible and accurate results over a dynamic range from 0.04 to 2000 micrometers in a single scan without further adjustment with not fewer than 140 detectors [Solid State laser (750 nm)] for accurately defining light scatter distribution versus angle and 116 channel signal separation. System to include: variable speed fluid module, not less than 16L/Min., sample cell with PIDs, small volume module plus, hazardous substance module, dry powder module with vacuum, micro volume module, Pentium PC system with printer, not less than 166MHz, 32Mb RAM, 2gig hard disk, 3.5" 1.44Mb, Microsoft - Windows 98 OS, 3.5" floppy drive, and 17"VGA, serial and parallel. Particular data presentation, and optical control, requirements, commercial one (1) year warranty, and on-site training and support will be required. An optional one (1) year warranty will also be requested. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be issued subject to full and open competition. To receive a copy of the RFQ, please direct your request via e-mail to Mr. Charles D. McCormick at mccormick.charles@epa.gov, specifying your preference for WordPerfect or Adobe "Portable Document Format" (PDF)copy. This RFQ is being processed under FAR Part 12 and 13, as applicable to commercial items. A firm Fixed-price purchase order will be issued the quoter whose quotation represents the low price, technically acceptable quotation, subject to all applicable clauses. All technically acceptable, responsible quotations will be considered for award.
