Description
The U.S. Army TACOM-ARDEC is conducting a market survey to identify potential sources to provide engineering services to support the Excalibur XM982 Program and the merged Excalibur/TCM program with High G on-board recording (OBR) systems. Specifically, TACOM-ARDEC has a qualified design that needs to be produced. A formal drawing package does not exist and units are required immediately. This recorder, the ARRT-114 which was developed at ARDEC, is capable of recording harsh in-bore cannon environments. The recorder is capable of recording 16 non-multiplexed channels sampled up to 500Khz each. Data is stored in RAM for later extraction. The recorder triggers with a G-switch and is programmed with a 30 minute delay in order to load the projectile in gun. The dimensions of the board electronics are 3.75 in. diameter by 3 in. long. The Government is seeking qualified sources to build, test and troubleshoot these previously purchased hardware (OBR). Responses should consist of company name, address, point of contact, telephone number, fax number, description of item and company brochures/literature regarding contractor capability. Interested companies are encouraged to submit their responses and ideas to the POC. This notice is not a request for proposal. Participation in this market survey will not effect a company's position during any future solicitation. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay for the information provided. No basis for claims against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to this market survey or Government use of such information. The Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any private sector input as a result of this market survey. See Note 25.
