- The Air Armament Center (AAC), Eglin AFB, FL intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price contract for the Inspection, overhaul/Rebuilding of 2 each Detroit Diesel 8V71T Engines IAW Manufacturer’s Specifications; and Teardown/Inspection/Overhaul/ Rebuilding of 2 each Allison Marine Transmissions IAW Manufacturer’s Specification. This is a combined synopsis/ solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The announcement number is Reference F717TS30760300. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 333618, with a small business standard size of 1,000 employees. This is a 100% small business set-aside. Please identify your business size in your response based upon this standard. The requirement is for these parts: Idler Gear Bearing, Belts and Hoses, Ft. Seal, Cone, Spacers, Thermostats, Short Fuel Pipes and Long Fuel Pipes, Rear Oil Seal and Sleeve, Rod Bearings, Main Bearings, O/H Gasket Sets, Cam Bearings, End Bearings, Blower Drive Shaft, Hose Clamps, Fuel Lines, Oil Pump Rotor Set, Relief Valve & Spring, Regulator Valve & Spring, Cylinder Kits, Anodes, Governor Bearings, Thrust Washers. Advise if Core charge is included or additional. The following Components shall be rebuilt: Blower, Water Pump, Fuel Pump, Turbo Charger, Cylinder Heads, Injectors and Connecting Rods. The following Marine Gear is required: Seal & Gasket Kit, springs, Disc to include Labor. The following shall be pressure checked: Block, Exhaust Manifold, Oil Cooler, Gear Cooler, and Cylinder Heads. Contractor pickup and delivery required. Delivery is 4 weeks ARO or better.
