- Description
- The Naval Weapons Station Charleston will make available their Pier Charlie dredge spoil site for dredge material taken from the Cooper River between the mouth at Goose Creek and buoy 81. The maximum use of this site will be for 1,000,000 cubic yards of material. The use of this site will be for a two-year period or until the 1,000,000 cubic yard maximum is met whichever is sooner. The site is under the jurisdiction of the Corps of Engineers therefore all appropriate permitting and requirements must be met. Payment to the government will be in the form of cash and/or payment in kind to be determined by the government prior to the dredge project. The selection of a provider will be based on the proposal with the highest maximum cost per cubic yard of material (assuming this proposal compares favorably with the government?s independent appraisal). Actual use by the selected provider will be dependent upon the execution of a mutually approved lease. Eligible providers should direct letters of interest with a cost per cubic yard proposal by close of business on 15 April 2003.
