Description
NA Solicitation Notice: Project #JKSE 2002-016, Remodel Building #30, Engine Shop/Avionics & Remodel Building #38, Fuel Cell - The work consists of furnishing and performing all supervision, plant, labor, equipment, materials, testing, and incidentals in stri ct accordance with the Specifications and Drawings. The buildings will be remodeled at the 120th FW Montana Air National Guard Base located at the Great Falls International Airport, Great Falls, Montana. This is federal property and requires compliance w ith all environmental, industrial hygiene, and occupational safety regulations and laws. This project consists of the repairs and alterations of Building #30 for administrative management and shop functions and the interior remodeling of Building #38. In Building #30 the existing avionics, classroom and break room will be remodeled to replace existing finishes. The avionics testing rooms will include commissioning of existing equipment to meet user needs. The main engine shop area will be modified with infill of one exterior overhead door and replacement of two rapid roll doors and masonry w all. Work will include mechanical and electrical upgrades. In Building #38 the remodel work includes masonry gypboard construction, architectural woodwork, finishes, plumbing, and mechanical and electrical requirements. Roof replacement is also part of the scope of work. The estimated magnitude of the proposed construction is between $100,000 and $500,000 with a completion period of 150 days. The North American Industry Classification System code is 236220 with a size standard of $28.5 million. Bid Documents are anticipa ted to be available on or about April 11, 2003. A tentative deadline for the receipt of bids is May 13, 2003. This project will be solicited electronically using the electronic bid solicitation system (EBS). THE ONLY WAY TO RECEIVE BID DOCUMENTS IS TO R EGISTER ON THE USPFO FOR MONTANA WEB SITE, HTTP://WWW.MONTANAGUARD.COM/USPFO_HOME.HTM. Once registered, prospective bidders can download plans and specifications from the web site and a CD-ROM with the solicitation and plans and specifications on it will be mailed. All requests must indicate business size and minority status. By using the EBS system there will be no charge for the CD-ROM. After release of solicitation, you can review a paper copy of the bid documents in the Contracting Officer?s office. Telephone, fax, or written requests for bid packages or solicitation mailing lists will not be accepted. The solicitation mailing list will be available on the USPFO web site. A firm fixed-price contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsi ble bidder as a result of this solicitation. This solicitation is advertised on an unrestricted basis.
