- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotations #17QR4-031-03. The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Regulation 2001-04. Set aside for small business concerns. NAICS code: 327390. Size Standard 500 persons. Furnish and Deliver 169 Each at Lump Sum Total Amount of $___________. Furnish and deliver new or used or a combination of new and used Temporary Railing (Type K) Jersey Barriers to Burcham Flat Road (FS Road 32031). Delivery is to be made along Burcham Road between mileposts 1.85 to 2.10 and from 2.15 to 2.65. Off loading of jersey barriers and installation of barriers will be done by the Mono County road maintenance crew. Technical Specifications: the Contractor shall provide materials for the following: 169 new or used Precast Temporary Railings (Type K) Jersey Barriers. The temporary railings shall conform to the enclosed drawing. Upon delivery, Engineering and Procurement personnel will inspect materials for compliance with material technical specifications. Any missing materials in nonconformance will be corrected at no additional charge to the Forest Service. Delivery shall be on or before May 28, 2003. Project delivery site can be reached by traveling south on U.S. 395 for approximately 0.8 miles from Walker, CA to Eastside Road. From there, proceed north on Eastside Road approximately 1 mile to Camp Antelope Road. From that junction, turn east on Camp Antelope Road and proceed approximately 0.2 miles to the Burcham Flat Road. The off loading sites are located along that road from mileposts 1.85 to 2.10 and 2.15 to 2.65. The Contractor shall contact Robert Avila at the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest Supervisor?s Office at (775) 352-1260 to arrange delivery date and time. Payment will be made at the contract lump sum price for the accepted quantities. No payment shall be made for damaged or inferior materials work. The following FAR clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Item; 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Item (paragraph (a) the evaluation criteria will be delivery, date and price); 52.212-3, Other Representations and Certifications-Commercial Item; 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Item; 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Item. NOTE: Offeror must include a copy of the provisions at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Item with their quote. This can be obtained at http://arnet.gov/far.
