This solicitation is a Request for Quote (RFQ) for the construction of an accessible loading ramp at the Ice House Boat Launching Facilities parking lot on the Eldorado National Forest. Major items of work include: removal of excess pavement, construction of loading ramp including concrete work, concrete masonry, and railings, finish grading and installation of rock barriers. The government estimate is between $0 and $25,000. There will be no pre-bid meeting or tour. The project is located at the Ice House Reservoir Boat Ramp, approximately 65 miles East of Sacramento CA. in the Crystal Basin Recreation Area, on the Pacific District of the Eldorado National Forest. The map coordinates are: Township 11 N, Range 15E sec.1. Driving directions are: From Sacramento travel East on Highway 50 to Placerville (approximately 35 miles ) continue through Placerville on Highway 50 to Ice House Road (Forest Road 11N17- Forest Route 3 ) at Riverton (approximately 20 miles) . Then north on Ice House road for approximately 14 miles. Turn right onto the Wrights Lake Tie Road ( Forest Road 11N37-Forest Route 37). Go approximately 2 miles to the Project site at the Ice House Reservoir boatramp and parking lot. The solicitation package is expected to be available on March 20, 2003. Responses are due on April 9, 2003. The estimated start work date is April 22, 2003.
