- Description
- The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Region 6, Olympic National Forest, is issuing a Request for Proposal for the reconstruction of an existing viewpoint. The project, Palisades Viewpoint Reconstruction, located on the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, includes 2000 cubic yards of earthwork, 700 tons of crushed aggregate top course, 260 tons of asphaltic concrete paving, 470 linear feet of concrete wall, 440 square yards of concrete walkway, as well as providing and installing 3 picnic tables, moving an existing vault toilet, and other work to enhance and reconstruct the viewpoint. To reach this work location, proceed on I-5 to exit 69, then east on State Highway 12 for approximately 71 miles to the Palisades Viewpoint at milepost 140.7. This acquisition will be advertised as a full and open competition Commercial Items Request for Proposal in accordance with FAR Part 12. The magnitude of construction is estimated between $100,000 and $250,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 234990, with a size standard of $28.5 M. A Bid Bond will be required with the proposal, and the awardee will be required to submit Performance and Payment Bonds. Davis Bacon Wage Determination Rates apply to this acquisition. Solicitation R6-OLY-3-10-G will be available for downloading on or about March 20, 2003.
