- Description
- The VA Medical Center, Bay Pines, Florida intends to negotiate sole source with bioMerieux, Inc., 595 Anglum Rod, Hazelwood, MO 63042-2320 for a cost per test arrangement using the miniVIDAS analyzer. The cost shall include all hardware, software, and installation as well as the purchase of an estimated annual quantity of assay supplies to be used in conjunction with the analyzer, which will aid in the diagnosis of pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosis. The contract will be for a base period of one year, with four option year renewals. The subject equipment shall remain the property of the contractor throughout the contract term. NAICS code #325413 applies to this procurement. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their intent and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. No solicitation will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received on or before 5:00 PM, EST, March 21, 2003 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The anticipated award date is March 28, 2003. Faxed or telephone inquiries will not be accepted.
