- Cost-per-patient-reportable blood culture testing using BACTEC resin-based media and instrumentation The VA Stars and Stripes Healthcare System (VISN 4), intends to award a cost-per-patient-reportable (CPPR) contract on a sole source basis for BACTEC media and instrumentation to Becton-Dickinson, Inc. The contract will include the base period of one year with three renewal options. The Government will utilize contractor owned equipment and the contractor will provide all media (resin-based), supplies and service coverage. All responses to this notice must be received within 30 days from the date of this notice.
