- DESC: Synopsis: This is a fixed-price indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract for production of the GPS Antenna System (GAS)-1 consisting of the following items: Controlled Reception Pattern Antenna (CRPA), NSN: 5985-01-352-9676, P/N: 01-01664-0010; Antenna Electronics (AE), NSN: 5985-NCC-624762, P/N: 808352-020, and Ground Plane Assembly (GPA), NSN: 5985-NCC-624763, P/N: 809502-000. The CRPA has a Best Estimated Quantity (BEQ) of 28 each for the basic, BEQ of 99 each for out-year option 1, BEQ of 89 each for out-year option 2, BEQ of 128 each for out-year option 3, and BEQ of 83 each for out-year option 4. The AE has a BEQ of 358 each for the basic, BEQ of 245 each for out-year option 1, BEQ of 192 each for out-year option 2, BEQ of 255 each for out-year option 3, and BEQ of 204 each for out-year option 4. The GPA has a BEQ of 31 each for the basic, BEQ of 68 each for out-year option 1, BEQ of 47 each for out-year option 2, BEQ of 67 each for out-year option 3, and BEQ of 43 each for out-year option 4. This acquisition will also consist of Time and Material for the repair, maintenance, and technical services in support of the GAS-1. Deliveries of basic production to start in Jul 03. Material (CRPA): Aluminum frame, fiberglass dome, electrical connections. Dimensions (CRPA): Diameter 14.1", Height 2.3". Function (CPRA): Receives radio frequency satellite signals. Material (AE): Aluminum case, electrical connections. Dimensions (AE): Length 13", Width 8.62", Height 2.27". Function (AE): Amplifier and down-converter RF GPS satellite signals to IF signals for application to GPS receiver. Material (GPA): Aluminum, electrical and electronics. Dimensions (GPA): Diameter 22.5", Height 9". Function (GPA): GPS Antenna system, interconnects mounted AS-3821A/ARN, and houses AS-455A/AR.
