Description
NA The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division , intends to procure through Other than Full and Open Competition, technical and engineering services from Bath Iron Works, to support the development of Open Structural Interfaces and associated design, installation, and maintenance requirements for C4ISR spaces on U.S. Navy ships as a member of a consortia composed of shipyard and U.S. Navy personnel working as an integrated product team. Contractor?s experience includes a minimum of 10 years as a member an Open Systems Architecture team and 10 years experience in all phases of ship design, planning and construction in a commercial shipyard. The contractor has the experience and familiarity with the previous Open C4ISR Zone interface developments, and a thorough knowledge of the Shipboard Modular Arrangement Reconfiguration Technology concept that is required. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. The capability statement and any other information must be in writing and must contain material in sufficient detail to allow NSWCCD to determine if the party can fully meet the requirement described above. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Capability statements must be received in the contracting office no later than 3:00 p.m. EST, 19 Mar 2003. (see note #22)
