- Description
- Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) intends to negotiate only with Storage Technology Corporation (STK), on a sole source basis, to purchase (buy-out) the currently leased STK "Powderhorn" Library/Silo, as configured, with Virtual Storage Manager (VSM) used in support of the Administrative Data Center within the NASA ADP Consolidated Data Center (NACC) located at Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC), AL. This acquisition is planned for 1 April 2003 at the end of the current lease term. Interested firms have fifteen (15) days from the publication of this synopsis to submit their qualifications/capabilities to the identified point of contact. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after the fifteen days or without the required information will be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis. A determination by CSC to not compete this requirement on a full and open competitive basis, based upon the responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of CSC. It is the responsibility of all interested parties to monitor this Internet site for the release of any amendments, and clarifying questions and answers. For subscribers to the CBD who wish to obtain any relevant documents covering this synopsis, such parties shall access said information at http://procurement.nasa.gov as no hardcopy will be provided by CSC. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
