- Description
- Provide Transducer Devices for VA Medical Center (VAMC), Minneapolis, MN on an on-demand, as-needed basis in accordance with the Specifications. Provide sterile disposable transducer kits, pre-calibrated, individually packaged, with straight fluid paths in clear plastic, unbonded tubing/stopcock connections, with electrical (moisture resistant) connection designed to reduce cable wear. Allow sufficient length of cable extension to position it away from sterile field. Provide start-up hardware to include pole mount, preferably a building block design to reduce mount size to meet minimum space needs; pole mount clamps; laser levels (if available); and fifteen (15) foot pressure cables for use with contractor provided transducer to connect to VA-owned Marquette Electronics Solar 8000 patient monitors. Provide transducer simulators for system accuracy and cable performance to enable verifications by VAMC staff in Biomedical Instrumentation Service and Patient Monitoring Service; simulator to be designed with protected vent tube opening to minimize risk of occlusion and pressure inaccuracies. Provide on-site (and continuing telephone) in-service and technical support to assure product performance. Proposals must include sterile bid samples (5 each of each line item), set-up hardware to consist of 10 laser level (if available), 10 pressure monitoring cables, 10 transducer holder pole mount, 10 pole mount clamp, 1 transducer simulator, and descriptive literature addressing specifications. The hardware supplies outlined above are required in a ratio of 2:1 due to the requirement of having these supplies in two locations simultaneously during the clinical evaluation phase. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: (1) Technical capability of the item offered to meet the Government requirement (including submission of descriptive literature); (2) Past performance; (3) Price; and (4) Small disadvantaged business participation all to be submitted with proposal. NIACS 423450. Solicitation documents available April 1, 2003 with offers due May 1, 2003. Contract effective date estimated to be July 1, 2003 for a period of one year, with 4 option years.
