- NSN: 2840-01-499-6524PR P/N: 1964M15G05 Noun: Augmenter Exhause Nozzle Item Description: The augmentor exhaust nozzle, or divergent flap, consists of a backbone support structure and a floating removable base sheet that slides in to a picture frame design and is secured with one torx head bolt. Its function is to direct heated exhaust gasses out of the rear of the turbofan engine. The approximate dimensions are 22 inches in length by 5 inches in width by 2.035 in thickness. The material is base sheet TBC coated Rene 41 sheet metal. Backbone is cast Rene 41. Applicable to: F110 Engine Destination: FB2039 Delivery: April 2005 Quantity ranges will be solicited. At this time, the best estimated quantity is 740. The following ranges will be solicited: 500-650, 651-801 and 802-952. Qualification Requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on this requirement. The qualification requirements for this item were established prior to 19 Oct 1984 and the requirements of FAR 9.202(A) do not apply. Qualification requirements apply to line item(s) 0001. The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 16 April 2003. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 16 May 2003. The anticipated award date will be 17 June 2003. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation will identify the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firm(s) listed. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation. Note: Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government?s requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel.
