Description

Beale AFB Abbreviated Industry Forum FBO Announcement. Beale Air Force Base, California, is seeking a private developer for a real estate housing privatization project involving 1,344 units on Base. This project involves a real estate transaction to privatize all military family housing at Beale AFB, California. The Government will convey 1,453 housing units and other associated improvements, including infrastructure and utilities, and will lease the underlying land for 50 years to a developer. The successful offeror (SO) will own and operate the rental housing development for 50 years, as well as finance, plan, design and construct improvements to the development. If required to support the deal, the Government may provide financing assistance in the form of a direct Government loan and/or a limited loan guarantee of a permanent loan from an approved commercial lender. The SO will contribute cash equity, will maintain private sector debt, and will be responsible for managing and operating the Beale AFB project. An Industry Forum presenting the Beale AFB housing privatization project was held in June, 2002. Since that time, the scope of the Beale AFB project has been revised. To update all interested developers on the final project scope, Beale AFB will host an Abbreviated Industry Forum on Wednesday, 30 April 2003, beginning at 7:30am. The half-day Beale AFB Abbreviated Industry Forum will include presentations on the finalized technical elements of the Beale AFB military housing privatization project. In addition, an optional guided tour of the Base housing areas will be offered as the final opportunity to inspect the Beale AFB housing communities.
