- R - MEETING SPACE AND LODGING - THE U.S. DEPT. OF COMMERCE, INTERNATIONAL TRADE ADMINISTRATION (ITA) INTENDS TO PROCURE LODGING AND MEETING SPACE ACCOMMODATIONS. LODGING AND SPACES ARE REQUIRED FOR THIRTY (30) PARTICIPANTS FOR THE COMMERCIAL/TRADE SPECIALIST TRAINING SEMINAR SCHEDULED IN WASHINGTON, D.C. ON THE FOLLOWING DATES JUNE 16 THRU 25, 2003, WITH REFRESHMENTS AT A.M. AND P.M. BREAK SESSIONS. DATES OF TRAVEL IS JUNE 16 THRU 25, 2003 (TEN DAYS). A FEW PARTICIPANTS MAY BE ARRIVING ON OR ABOUT SATURDAY, JUNE 14TH AND THE REST ON SUNDAY, JUNE 15, 2003, AND DEPARTING ON OR ABOUT WEDNESDAY, JUNE 25, 2003. THE EXACT NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS REQUIRING ACCOMMODATIONS AND THEIR ARRIVAL DATE WILL BE PROVIDED NO LATER THAN 30 DAYS PRIOR TO TRAINING SESSION. TRAINING EQUIPMENT REQUIRED: TELEVISION MONITOR WITH VCR PLAYER, OVERHEAD PROJECTOR WITH LARGE SCREEN, AND MUST INCLUDE TWO FLIP CHARTS WITH STANDS AND ADDITIONAL PAPER FOR EACH DAYS AND TRAINING SESSION. SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE ACCOMMODATIONS MUST BE AS FOLLOWS: THREE BLOCKS OR LESS FROM THE WASHINGTON,D.C. METRO SUBWAY STOP; BE NO MORE THAN TWENTY (20) MINUTE COMMUTING TIME FROM DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE, 1401 CONSTITUTION AVE., N.W., WASHINGTON, D.C.; SLEEPING ROOMS (A KITCHENETTE, DESIRED); FITNESS CENTER, DESIRED; SMOKE DETECTORS; RESTAURANT ON SITE, DESIRED; CONFERENCE SPACES TO SEAT 25-30 PARTICIPANTS IN A U-SHAPE WILL BE NEEDED EACH DAY THROUGHOUT THE TRAINING SESSION. SAFES OR ABILITY TO SECURE VALUABLES. PROPOSALS SHALL BE SUBMITTED VIA E-MAIL TO JEAN.HAIRSTON@NOAA.GOV. THE E-MAIL TITLE SHALL STATE; TRAINING SEMINAR AND MUST BE RECEIVED BY 2 P.M., APRIL 22, 2003. YOUR RESPONSE SHOULD INCLUDE A MINIMUM, LODGING RATE, A.M. AND P.M. BREAK RATE, AUDIO VISUAL RATE, MEETING ROOM RATE, A BREAKDOWN OF ALL AMENITIES, AS WELL LOCATION ADDRESS AND INDIVIDUAL WITH AUTHORITY TO NEGOTIATE, LODGING RATE MUST BE EQUAL TO OR LESS THAN GOVERNMENT PER DIEM RATE. AWARD WILL BE MADE ON A BEST VALUE BASIS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION PROCEDURES. REFERENCE 3-91501(GJH).
