- Description
- This is a software maintenance requirement for the MH-53J/M Helicopter program. In addition, this effort will support the MH53 J to M Upgrade program integration efforts. The support is necessary for deficiency report software engineering and design analysis, Software Development Environment (SDE) analysis and support and IDAS Trainer Analysis and support required for the MH-53 J/M integration and subsequent software maintenance resulting from the integration. This effort involves analyzing, performing, and documenting an overall support program for the MH-53J/M helicopter program to ensure system performance, capability, reliability, maintainability and supportability of the MH-53 J/M helicopter. The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 1 May 2003. This is a sole source requirement to Ball Aerospace and Technology Corp (BATC), Civil Space Systems, Defense Hardware, 1600 Commerce Street, Boulder CO 80306. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c ) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one or a limited number of responsible sources, and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. All potential offers should contact the buyer/contracting officer, Vanessa B. Golden at (478) 926-7236, for additional information and/or to communicate concerns with this acquisition. If the contracting officer does not satisfy your concerns, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear serious concerns that are not resolved through established channels. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director of the contracting officer, but to communicate serious contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals in the selection process.
