Description
THIS A MODIFICATION TO THE SYNOPSIS POSTED ON 07 JANUARY 2003. In addition to the previously posted requirement for six Jet Engine Test Instrumentation (JETI) units and Engine Adapter Assemblies (EAAs) for the following engines: F414-GE-400, F404-GE-400, F404-GE-402, F110-GE-400, J52-P-408A, GTC36-200 and GTC36-201, associated logistic support, technical support, and training, the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst also requires one JETI Software Development and Configuration Station (SDCS), which shall consist of a standard T-1A JETI System excluding the EJB, EJB cabling, MJB, MJB cabling, intercom system, PHBs, common engine cable sets, and EAA cable sets for the purpose of development, configuration, and testing of the software. The Government plans to solicit and negotiate the requirement with Racal Instruments, Inc., 4 Goodyear St., Irvine, CA 92618-2002. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, this firm is considered the only supplier of the JETI units, as they are the sole source designer, manufacturer, and integrator of the system at this time. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this modification to the synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement. POC is Lori Bishop, 732-323-4771, email: lori.bishop@navy.mil.
