- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F04700-03-T-0035. The solicitation is a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-13 and DFARs Change Notice (DCN) 20030331. This acquisition is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 3451. NAICS is 531130. Place of delivery, performance and acceptance is at Edwards Air Force Base, CA. F.O.B Destination. Requirements: Return existing G E Capital Modular building to stock, install new-leased 24ft x 40ft modular building in Facility# 1414 and provide monthly lease of approximately forty?eight months for new modular. SCOPE OF WORK: The work covered by, but not limited to, these specifications consists of furnishing all supervision, labor, equipment and materials necessary to perform all operations to remove and return to stock the existing 8ft x 28ft single-wide modular building and replace it with a leased 24ft x 40ft (24ft x 40ft) double-wide modular building facility#: 1414, Edwards Air Force Base, CA. The contractor will be responsible for the successful ?return to stock? of the existing single wide modular building. (Serial/Number#: UM-1245-02-828), presently being leased from GE Capital Modular Space, Bakersfield, CA. The contractor shall complete the project in accordance with all specifications, applicable codes, regulations, and drawings and is subject to the terms and conditions of the contract. The contracting officer shall ensure that the contractor has sufficient experience and available resources to accomplish the work specified. Government furnished utilities available, work hours shall be coordinated with the facility manager and base access permit is required. All warranties shall be included. Building modification and compliance; the contractor shall be responsible for compliance with the Uniform Building Code (UBC), and all federal, state and local regulations. Construction modifications: The contractor shall; unblock the existing 8ft x 28ft single wide modular, remove anchors/tie-downs from existing modular building, remove the existing single wide modular building, (S/N: Um-1245-02-828), return to stock the existing single-wide modular building, deliver new 24ft x 40ft double-wide modular building, block and level new modular building, anchor/tie-down new building, provide steps for both exits of new building (insure exit doors are located as per sketch). The 24ft x 40ft modular building shall consist of, but not be limited to the following: Two (02)-each open bay type rooms (14ft x 24ft and 25ft 6in x 24ft). No latrines, no private offices, overhead fluorescent lighting, wood-siding HVAC system, storefront doors, vinyl floors, vinyl-trimmed windows. Must be delivered, set-up and mechanically maintained. Damage Repair: The contractor shall repair any damage to government property caused by the act of the contractors. An onsite visit is suggested but not required. The following provisions and clauses apply: 52.252-2 - Clauses Incorporated by Reference. This contract incorporates one or more clauses by reference, with the same force and effect as if they were given in full text.
