- Description
- NA The Navy requires a quantity of 3,000 silver chloride batteries to replace seawater batteries currently installed in Undersea Sensor Systems Inc. (USSI) AN/SSQ-110A sonobuoys that are past the end of their shelf life. The batteries shall be manufactured in accordance with a Government Statement of Work. This quantity of 3,000 batteries will be procured on a sole-source basis from USSI, Columbia City, IN in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, i.e., only one responsible source and no other supplies will satisfy agency requirements. See Note 22. Delivery of the batteries shall commence within 2 months after date of contract award and be completed within 4 months after date of award. The solicitation will be posted on the NSWC Crane website at www.crane.navy.mil; no hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed. The solicitation is expected to be posted on or about 30 April 2003. Al l responsible sources may submit an offer that will be considered.
