- The US Department of Education intends to issue a sole source award to Avtech Software, Inc. for the following software (the quantity is listed in parenthesis): PEN-UNLD-LCS PageR Unlimited Data Center Software License for Washington DC (1), PEN-UNLD-MCS PageR Unlimited Data Center Software License for Washington DC (1), PEN-UNLD-LCS PageR Unlimited Data Center Software License for Atlanta (1), PEN-UNLD-MCS PageR Unlimited Data Center Software License for Atlanta (1) and PEN-005E-LCS PageR 5 Object Enterprise Software License (10). Avtech's Software is an agent-less monitoring and paging product. It detects when shares on our network drives when unavailable, when disks are running out of space, pages on log file content and restarts windows services. Every other product we evaluated requires an agent to be installed on each server. The Department of Education has over 500 servers.
