Description

This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for Wide Aperture Array System connectors. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Request For Quotation (RFQ) number is N66604-03-Q-3578. NAICS Code is 334419; size standard is 500 employees. NUWC Division Newport intends to modify contract N66604-02-C-5664, with D.G. O'Brien, to include the following increased quantity of the following items: Wide Aperture Array System connectors, P/N 1381053-101 (Qty. 110), P/N 1001071-102 (Qty. 50) and P/N 1381053-102 (Qty. 12). Required delivery is five (5) connectors/wk. beginning 16 wks. after date of award, F.O.B. Destination Naval Station Newport; Newport, RI. D.G. O'Brien is the only known source for these items because D.G. O'Brien holds proprietary information for these connectors and D.G. O'Brien connectors have been previously qualified by the Navy. D.G. O'Brien's connectors are specifically required per the source control drawings. All other sources must have demonstrated that it meets the standard prescribed for qualification. Offerors should contact the agency activity designated below to obtain all requirements that they must satisfy to become qualified. All other timely offers will be considered. Offers for other products must contain complete product information and prices. Offers should include price and delivery terms. Offers must be submitted to Commercial Acquisition Department, Building 11, Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport, Code 5913, Simonpietri Drive, Newport, Rhode Island 02841-1708 or may be faxed to 401-832-4820.
