- THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE ONLY!!! This notification is for planning purposes only and no contract will be awarded as a result of this posting. This contemplated action will be a small business set-aside with NAICS Code 333922 with 500 or fewer employees. This Munitions Assembly Conveyor (MAC) II system is used to assemble MK-82, MK-84, and BLU-109 bomb bodies into a fully assembled munition complete with fuze, guidance section, and fins ready for operational use. The MAC II program team will be hosting an Industry Day on April 16th & 17th 2003 at Eglin AFB, FL. A draft Request for Proposal (RFP) and Performance Specification are attached to this Synopsis for downloading at the AAC Contracting Electronic Bulletin Board under Air Force Material Command at www.eps.gov. Please remember these are only a draft documents. This information will be updated periodically and expanded as additional information becomes available. The Combat Support Systems Office at Eglin AFB, FL anticipates release of the RFP for the development and production of an improved MAC II in May 2003.
