Description

This is a synopsis for a commercial acquisition (Reference FAR Part 12 and 13.5). The required service is to provide 145 leased pagers that must maintain 24/7 communications for the Air Force Technical Applications Center (AFTAC), Patrick AFB, FL. 10 of the 145 pagers are designated spares. See the attached Statement of Work for details. The base year Period of performance is 1 May 2003 through 30 September 2003. Four one-year options may be awarded. The Government will evaluate offers for award purposes by adding the total price for all options to the total price for the basic requirement. Evaluation of options shall not obligate the Government to exercise the options. The government intends to make a single award to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offeror. This proposed procurement is a 100% small business set-aside. Solicitation No. F08650-03-T-0118 is issued as a Request for Quotation. It is advertised with a Standard Industrial Code (SIC) number 4812, business size of $5.0M, and a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 517211. All current GSA Schedule holders for this service are encouraged to provide us with their GSA Schedule number. IMPORTANT: The Department of Defense (DOD) has determined the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be the Single DOD registration for contractors who conduct business or who are interested in conducting business with the Department. You may register in CCR on-line at http://ccr.edi.disa.mil. It is mandatory to obtain a DUNS number prior to registering in CCR by calling Dun & Bradstreet (1-800-333-0505). All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 28 April 2003 at http://www2.eps.gov/spg/.
